A tisket, a tasket...
it's a shaker cheese basket! I've been eyeing this basket for awhile ever since I saw it on one of the blogs I read. So decided I waited long enough and had a little extra money, so I bought one for myself. Ann over at 1803Ohiofarmbaskets has some of the neatest baskets including a smaller version of this shaker cheese basket. Ann also included a set of 2 grubbied up candle tapers in my package.
As a former dabbler in basket making...I made a few in my time, but have since given up basket making in favor of painting, know that basket weaving is a true labor of love. It is definitely an artform to get a basket to turn out the way you envision it. Ann is very skilled at her craft.
I have found a home for it already but will have to wait to share that with you as I need to repaint that wall before I can display it. Darn Glidden discontinued making the 1000 paint colors and of course my paint color is one of them. Talked to the guy in the paint dept at Home Depot and my only hope is finding the color chip card, that I kept for them to make the paint from. Now I know that I kept that card, but where, oh where did I put it? But I digress from my original topic...
So if you are looking for some well made baskets, head on over to Ann's etsy shoppe and check out what she has to offer. I can tell you, you won't be disappointed.
Til next time...

Oh lucky you! I was drooling over that basket when I blogged about it on the sunburntcow. All her baskets look so lovely; one of these days, I'm going to treat myself to one of them.
ReplyDeleteHope you find that color chip card!
Cheers,
Tracy
