Mmmmmm.....Banana Bread!

I baked 2 loaves of banana bread last night....got to take a picture of the smaller one that was left this morning and decided to share my family recipe here. I remember the first time I made it for my family...I got ewww! what's that? Needless to say, they don't comment anymore as they are too busy stuffing their mouth full! This batch was sooo good! Moist and yummy! So if you have some extra over ripe bananas, you might want to give this recipe a try.

Banana Bread

2 1/2C flour 1 tsp baking powder
1/4lb butter 1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla
2 ripe bananas 1/2C sour cream
1 1/2C sugar

Cream butter. Add eggs, vanilla and sugar. Beat well. In a seperate bowl mix sour cream and bananas. Add flour mixture and sour cream alternating between the two. Pour into greased and floured loaf pans. Bake 15 min. @ 450 degrees, then 30 min @350 degrees.

  3. Oh Yum!! Even the small loaf wouldn't have been left at my house - the kids love banana bread as much as I do. In fact, I have my youngest daughter make it by herself now!
